Terms and Conditions for Student Registration


STEM Coding Education for Ages 4-18 and adults coding programs

1. Registration and Payment
1.1. To enroll in SC4K, parents/guardians must complete the registration form and pay the required fees for the selected program.  
1.2. Fees are payable in advance on a monthly or term basis as outlined during registration. Failure to complete payment may result in the cancellation of the student’s enrollment.  
1.3. Payment methods include e-transfer, Credit/Debit at POS, Credit/Debit/Papal at our website, and PayPal

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy
2.1. Cancellations must be made in writing at least 7 days before the start of a program.  
2.2. Full refunds will only be provided for cancellations made within the specified notice period. After this period, refunds will be prorated based on the number of sessions attended or non-refundable depending on the time frame.  
2.3. Missed classes due to personal reasons will not be refunded or rescheduled.

3. Attendance and Conduct 
3.1. Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes. Consistent attendance ensures progress in the program.  
3.2. Punctuality is required for all sessions.  
3.3. Inappropriate behavior, including bullying, disruptive conduct, or disrespect towards instructors or peers, may result in dismissal from the program without a refund.

4. Program Content and Schedule  
4.1. The curriculum includes coding languages such as Scratch, Python, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and robotics using tools like Sphero and mBot.  
4.2. The program schedule, including class timings and dates, will be shared upon registration. SC4K reserves the right to modify schedules based on unforeseen circumstances. Parents will be notified in advance of any changes.

5. Parent/Guardian Involvement  
5.1. Parents/guardians are encouraged to stay informed about their child’s progress and may communicate with instructors through the provided channels.  
5.2. For safety reasons, parents/guardians are required to ensure timely pick-up and drop-off for in-person classes.

6. Health and Safety  
6.1. Parents/guardians must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs of the student at the time of registration to ensure appropriate accommodations are made.  
6.2. SC4K follows strict safety protocols for all in-person classes. In the event of an emergency, parents/guardians will be contacted immediately.

7. Use of Technology and Equipment 
7.1. Students will have access to laptops, robotics kits, and software as part of the program.  
7.2. Students are responsible for using all provided equipment respectfully and adhering to instructions regarding its proper use.  
7.3. Any damage to equipment caused by misuse will result in the parent/guardian being liable for repair or replacement costs.

 

8. Online Classes 
8.1. Online classes require students to have access to a stable internet connection and a computer or device with the necessary software installed.  
8.2. Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring their child’s device is set up and ready for online classes.  
8.3. In the event of technical difficulties, SC4K is not responsible for missed classes due to issues on the participant's side, but technical support will be offered if possible.

9. Photography and Media Release 
9.1. SC4K reserves the right to take group photos and videos during competitions, award ceremonies, workshops, outings, and other special events.  
9.2. These images may be used in our official social media accounts, website, and other promotional materials.  
9.3. If you do not wish for your child to appear in these photos or videos, please inform us in writing at the time of registration.

10. Privacy Policy
10.1. Personal information collected during registration will only be used for the purposes of communication and program administration.  
10.2. SC4K will not share personal information with third parties without the consent of parents/guardians.

11. Intellectual Property
11.1. All course materials, content, and software provided during the program remain the intellectual property of SC4K. Students are not permitted to distribute or reproduce materials without prior permission.

12. Liability Waiver  
12.1. SC4K is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage that occurs during in-person or online classes. Parents/guardians agree to release SC4K from any liability related to the program.

​

13. Changes to Terms and Conditions 
13.1. SC4K reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Parents/guardians will be notified of any changes in writing.

By registering your child, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
